My mother has sold kuih lapis from our kitchen in Shah Alam for eleven years. Every Ramadan I come home and become her admin. Two phones, one notebook, a calculator, and a stack of screenshots she prints at the kedai fotostat.
In 2025 she missed an order for the first time. A regular's voice note got buried under 200 others, and the customer had nothing to serve on the first morning of Raya. Mak cried more than the customer did.
The tools we tried all wanted her customers to fill in a form. Her customers do not fill in forms. They send voice notes from the car. So we built something that listens to them instead. It is small, it is careful, and it is Malaysian first.
